What It Is
Hot stone massage combines massage therapy techniques with the heat of warmed volcanic stones, applied on and around the muscles. The heat helps the tissues relax faster, allowing for deeper, more comfortable work than in a conventional massage.
How It Works
The stones are heated to a controlled temperature and used both statically, placed on key points of the body, and gliding over the muscles to release tension. The heat dilates blood vessels, improves local circulation and helps the nervous system reach a deeper state of relaxation.
What to Expect
Initial assessment: A brief conversation about areas of greater tension and sensitivity to heat.
90-minute session: A combination of manual massage therapy with hot stone application on the areas of greatest tension.
End of session: Rest time to consolidate the relaxation before returning to your day.
Important Note
This technique is not recommended during pregnancy, in cases of circulation problems, skin wounds or heat hypersensitivity. These situations are always assessed before the session.
