Triathlon in Cascais: The Most Common Injuries and How to Recover Better
Cascais has everything a triathlete needs within a few kilometres: open water for swimming, roads for riding, and a coastal promenade (plus the climb toward Sintra, if you want to suffer a little more) for running. It’s no accident the town has become one of Portugal’s favourite triathlon destinations, from sprint distance up to half-Ironman. I’ve worked with endurance athletes in this area for several years, and the pattern repeats: people training for a triathlon in Cascais arrive with very specific complaints, tied to the terrain, the climate, and the overlap of three disciplines that stress different tissues and joints. This article is what I usually explain in a first consultation, before I even touch the athlete.
